With a 2 paws up from Karen Pryor, this is one terrific book regardless of how much (or little) you've trained in the past.  Considered one of the primers of dog training, Clicking with Your Dog gives insightful and easy ways to train your dog through step by step procedures and pictures!  If you've always wanted to try your hand at training but have felt a little intimidated, K9 Raw Diet recommends this book in addition to the Clicker Training Starter Kit.  You'll have the basics with the starter kit and can then add on a little with Clicking with Your dog.

200 pages of tips, clicks and tricks will show you how to teach a whole bunch of behaviours including walking on the leash without pulling, recall (coming when called), taking treats gently from your hands, polite sit for petting, getting your dog to give you whatever's in his mouth (what concept hun?), ringing a bell, the hide and seek game and much much more.

Bottom line: if you're new to clicker training, this book can't be beaten with a stick.  Go fetch.
