We gave 2 enthusiastic paws up on this fabulous treat dispensing toy! Tired of stuffing kongs (and hey, we LOVE kongs) and wanting a little something cleaner, we found a phenomenal treat dispensing toy that is not only virtually indestructable (exception being the extraordinarily obnoxious chewers!) but it also allows you to use ANY sized treat! Can you beat that? Simply place your chosen treats into the middle of the ball and adjust the size of the opening as you see fit. The smaller you make the opening, the more you can challenge the dog.
As an added bonus, this ball makes a very obscure noise as it rolls around. We can't quite figure out what the noise is but imagine it sounds like some kind of mouse that's in distress! Whatever the noise is, it sure tickles our dogs' fancy.
When we introduced the Peek-a-Treat to our own dogs, they spent over 2 hours entertaining themselves. Oh my gosh! That is unheard of! The dogs kicked the ball, swatted the ball and tried like the dickens to get all the treats out of the ball. This is better than watching television!
The Peek-a-Treat is made out of durable non-toxic plastic with a colourful bone design. The center of the toy is made from clear plastic that allows an unobstructed view of all the goodies inside. And when the toy is all slimed up from your dog enjoying himself for hours on end, all you need to do is stick it in the dishwasher and it comes out remarkably clean.
We are in love with this toy and feel that the Peek-a-Treat is one of the best treat dispensing toys that we've ever come across.
Tip of the day: as with all toys, please remember to pick up the toy and remove it from the dog's sight when not in use. This will maintain the value of the toy to the dog. When a toy is laying around in sight all day long it's not as valuable as those items to which the dog doesn't have free access.
