Ssscat - motion activated air spray deterrant for cats and counter surfing dawgs

Let's be practical: there are simply some places your cat doesn't belong either for safety reasons, sanitary reasons or reasons of convenience. I love my cat but it's not okay for him to try and jump on the kitchen stove! And as well trained as the dogs are, unless they are safely crated there's just not much supervision going on in the kitchen. Needless to say, leave a roast on the counter and it's goodbye dinner! (Yes, we lost the 6# all natural whole beef filet to the Newf!). Got a rascally ferret? We've got an answer to that too.

Ssscat is the easy, safe and very humane way to keep your pets away from where they don't belong. With a motion activated sensor, when your pet breaks the beam Ssscat first emits a tone which is then followed by a harmless and ozone friendly air spray. The tone is the warning signal and if the animal does not respond then SSSSSSS out comes the spray! It only takes a repetition or two for animals to figure out what's going on.

The motion sensor can be adjusted to 15 different angles and the spray can be adjusted up or down. Pretty much you can set the device up anywhere to emit the spray to where you want it to go. The spray will shoot out at least 3' and the motion detector is effective for quite a ways longer. Know how we know? The first time we used it we set it up at the end of the kitchen counter. Naturally we forgot about it in the morning so way on the other side of the kitchen when I went to pour coffee the Ssscat went off and shot me to the ceiling! Yes, apparently it works on humans too.

Ssscat can be adjusted to sound only or sound + spray. Each spray refill lasts for approximately 200 sprays and please note that the Ssscat does require 4 AAA batteries which are not included. Batteries will last a very long time - you are not constantly replacing them so no worries there.

General directions:

Setting your SSSCAT^TM up for use is easy and only requires a few short steps:

1. Place the unit where you don't want the animal to go (e.g., kitchen counter, near a plant or a particular piece of furniture, the toilet, any area where your dog tends to mark, etc).

2. Turn on to sound/spray mode, wait a few seconds to a couple of minutes for the motion sensor to stabilize itself. Be patient the first time you use it! Simply load the batteries, turn it on and wait for the device to self adjust.

Adjust the motion sensor to pickup the animal's motion and the spray to deter them away from off-limit area.

3. For the first few days, use the sound/spray mode. A sound then a spray will be released when the motion sensor detects the movement of your pet.

4. Once the animal associates the sound with the spray, the sound will be enough to keep your pet away from unwanted areas. Occasionally you will want to use the sound/spray mode so your pet continues to associate the sound with the spray.
