The Honest Kitchen - Preference (grain free, meat free)

Insurance in a bucket is here!  For those folks who have dogs who cannot tolerate chicken or turkey and therefore cannot have the other Honest Kitchen products, here's your answer.  Preference is a dehydrated base food to which you add your own protein in order to make your dog's meals complete and balanced.  That's it!  It's that easy.

Not designed as a stand-alone food, Preference is a combination of high quality human food plus vitamins and minerals.  It contains no protein which means that for all those allergy dogs out there, here's your chance to make sure your dog is receiving adequate vitamins and minerals while being able to control which protein your dog is eating.  What proteins can you add?  It's up to you!  Choose any of the Bravo foods (yes, any!) or reach into your refrigerator.  Mix either 1:1 or 2:1 ratios and you are d-o-n-e.  This diet contains a custom vitamin-mineral premix with balanced calcium : phosphorus ratios which are vital for the maintenance of healthy cells, bones and blood.

Please note that while Preference is a phenomenal base product and contains no protein, it is not intended to be a stand-alone vegetarian diet for your dog so please do not feed it on its own.  Our dogs are carnivores and they cannot thrive on any type of vegetarian diet.  Where's the beef?

Add water and pour!  Each container will make approximately 4 times its weight in fresh food when rehydrated.  Whoo ya.  For every cup of dry Honest Kitchen you want to add about 1 - 1 1/2 cups of water.  How much water you add depends on how your dog likes his food but all you need to do is experiment a little and you can't go wrong.  Mix the food well, let it sit for about 5 - 10 minutes and feed.

The following daily amounts (DRY quantity) should be adjusted to suit your individual dog's requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity.
